January 12/13

OBJECTIVES:  Students will (1) analyze the grammatical construction of a sentence;  (2) use listening skills to identify most important details of a fable, paraphrase the fable in writing and write the moral in complete sentence.  (3)  Read an informational article "The Lost Boys of Sudan" p. 590 for comprehension and vocabulary mastery.  


Activities:

(1) Model Sentence 2:  "Two days earlier they had learned about light switches and stairs for the first time."
(2) Flipped Journal:  "The Snake and the Wasp"--listen to the read aloud and then paraphrase
(4) Complete comprehension and vocabulary practice
